Discussion Week 7: Presenting Our Voicethreads
The week 7 discussion is focused on reviewing the VoiceThreads of others in your class and summarizing your own experiences with developing and implementing your teaching plans. Feedback and comments about your teaching are valuable as they help you recognize areas that you presented well, or areas you could change in order to make them stronger. In most settings where formal education is being conducted, evaluations are a required component of the teaching and learning process.
Discussion this week will take place in small groups. Although the discussion forum format is slightly different, due dates and times still apply. Remember that week 7 is a short week, and the DQ ends on Friday, 2359. Please complete your initial post by Monday, 2359 and complete your responses to the other VoiceThreads in your group by Friday, 2359.
Please complete the following steps:
- You should check on the name of the group to which you have been assigned.
- For your initial post type your name in the title line and then paste the link to your voice thread in the body of the text.
Initial Post – 3 pages
1. Summarize your experiences with developing your learning objectives, your teaching plan and creating your VoiceThread. Use the following as a guideline:
- Was this new information?
- Was the project difficult or easy, and why
- Can you see yourself using VoiceThread in the future? If so how, and if not, why?
2. Offer a self appraisal of how you did with your teaching project.
- Did you feel your teaching was effective? Why or why not?
- What would you do differently if you had to do it again?
3. Review the three initiatives discussed in your reading for week 7 and choose one area to comment on.
- What seemed important to you and why?

Follow the links to the VoiceThreads of your colleagues and use the audio, video or text command to respond to each of the people in your group.
When you respond to your colleagues Voicethreads please address such things as:
- Choice of topic
- Clarity and flow of the presentation
- Constructive feedback on the overall quality of the Voicethread
- How well the VoiceThread communicated the teaching plan.
