These news headlines seem quite ordinary in today’s world. However, although advances in public health have dramatically improved living conditions and safety in communities, ongoing challenges remain in preserving, maintaining, and ensuring the public’s safety. Not surprisingly, as advances continue, the relationship between environmental conditions and human health are perhaps more than ever deserving of more attention and critical analysis.
