Due to our strong bonded friendship from the beginning of our air force career, I was contacted by mental health, our first sergeants and base chaplains and was appointed as her official caretaker, guardian, and base escort. Her and I took a road trip to North Carolina to make sure she didn’t harm herself and made it home to her family safely.
