The second-third paragraphs are is the most important part of the letter. They focus on the employer’s needs and how you can meet them. Tell a little about yourself (but do not use too many “I” sentences), identify a few key skills (this is your chance to brag, but do not write a book!). It should be information that is directly relevant to why you are right for this job. Recruiters appreciate letters that are short and to the point.
Close with your contact information. End it with when you will follow up with a phone call (typical time is ~7-10 business days, unless the ad has a closure date) and a thank you.
