It’s time to explore the conflict in these two stories. Answer only one set of questions, but apply the set to both stories.
Choice One: What exactly is the nature of the conflict in each story? How do the various scenes or episodes of each story help us to understand each couple’s relationship? What are the reasons for each affair? Devote 8-10 sentences to answer the questions about Chekhov’s version and another 8-10 sentences to answer the questions about Oates’ version.
