Design a list of concerns for BOTH types of businesses.  List the departments that would have to close due to flooding for more than 4 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours.  List the 4 hours first, then the concerns that appear at 24 hours then 48 hours, then a full week, then 30 days.  You do not have to assume loss of power, but you could lose access to any buildings in your location.  You can assume IT servers are remote and backed up, remotely.

You can use the spreadsheet provided or a similar list.

A large commercial HVAC manufacturing and distribution company based in Plaquemine Louisiana.  This is a 15-acre manufacturing, distribution, and corporate office.  The plant is across HWY 1 from the Mississippi River. Bayou Plaquemine has flooded the area around the site and made it virtually impossible to access for longer than five days three times since 2004.   They have a strong repeat business fabricating parts for small to medium-sized boiler and cracker heating unit parts for the local chemical manufacturers on short notice.

A medical/pharmaceutical distribution and headquarters near George Bush International Airport, Houston. This company specializes in distributing cancer and transplant-related products that must be moved quickly and stored under refrigeration.  During COVID it was also a primary transhipper for the vaccines.  All the business functions are here in this office.  Some accounting and HR functions can be performed remotely but not completely.   This site has an elevated helipad, warehouse, driveway, parking, and office, once on the property.  But your teams live in Houston and the area around is prone to flooding.
