There are two assignments for evaluation and reflection of the practicum experience, due separately in Weeks 4 and 6. This is the first of these two assignments based on your Learning Contract. You have already developed the planning of your practicum activities in Columns A-C. Each week as you complete your hours, you will complete Column D (reflection and evaluation) and Column E (time log) in your Learning Contract, as well as the other required elements as identified below and in the grading rubric. In this first assignment you will reflect upon the first three weeks of your on-site practicum time during Weeks 2, 3, and 4 of the course, as well as identify a theoretical framework for your practicum. Each update provides a summary of outcomes, their evaluation, and reflection on the practicum experience in Column D. Column E logs your time, and then you will upload the all-important evidence for each week contained in an appendix for the assignment (more information regarding appendices is below).Theoretical Framework: This is documented on page 2 under the practicum project topic content. This content requires you to identify a theory that frames your topic and the planned practicum, and state why you chose this theory (include the citation/reference). Then, you will explain briefly two points of the theory that supports your own practicum.Column D: Outcomes, Evaluation, and Reflection (maximum of 250 words for each week’s content) – Answer the following: Were you able to complete the week’s activities? Was the outcome as expected or did you find something different than what you anticipated? Did you meet your outcomes as expected? If your outcomes were not met as expected, why not? Have things gone as expected or differently? Are there any changes that you will need to make in your plan based on how the experience unfolded? If things did not go as planned, how will your timeline need to be altered in the following weeks? Do you realize that things should have been done in a different order?Note: There is an option for Column D to use Jing, creating a screenshot of this document and/or other practicum documents to provide your outcomes and evaluation, and/or reflective journaling using audio instead of a typed narrative. Each column’s Jing is limited to 5 minutes, and instead of written content, you will supply the screencast.com link in the applicable column. The content will be graded according to the same rubric.Column E: Time Log
Log the hours, day(s), date(s), and total for each week covered by this assignment.Keep a running total of all hours completed (the minimum of 35 practicum in-setting hours must be met by the end of Week 6)
