  1. Examine the Multicultural Counseling Continuum of Dr. Don C. Locke and discuss how the “awareness” elements of his thesis may affect the work of the professional counselor.
  2. Present a definition of mental health counseling that explains the scope of human growth and development matters that are served by counselor and counseling programs. Further, identify multiple counseling settings and/or counseling programs or services that would mostly likely attend to those issues and problems.
  3. Discuss the importance of credentialing concerns in the design and delivery of counseling services and in the preparation of professional counselors. Identify in your response the formal entities that play a role in those credentialing operations.
  4. From your course reading and the Dr. Sterner lectures, select a counseling theory or theories and discuss the various elements that make them one you might adopt personally. Include in your interpretation how the theories view the counselor/client relationship and what techniques or tools might be used to achieve desired outcomes.
