These resources have been intentionally selected to get you thinking about these topics…and then to do a bit of research of your own. PMI is a professional non-profit entity that sets standard for the field of Project Management. However, many organizations approach project management in slightly to very different ways. Use the PMI database or other scholarly source-finding method to research a few articles for yourself on the topic. Then, complete the discussion assignment:
For this assignment, referring specifically to the 10 PMI Project Management Knowledge Areas, post a discussion entry that provides your opinion of how necessary all 10 of the PMI Project Management Knowledge Areas are to project success. What did you find and what are your thoughts about the integrated nature of the 10 knowledge areas? Are there any you would remove/add/combine/modify, etc., and explain your reasoning for why/why not?
NOTE: Don’t just simply provide definitions and information already covered and provided to you within this module – your classmates have access to the same information.
